PAS 24
PAS 24 is a UK test standard for enhanced security performance. A door or window tested to PAS 24 has passed defined attack tests. It is the baseline many insurers and self-build warranties like to see, and it underpins schemes such as Secured by Design.

Locking and cylinders
Multi-point locks throw several bolts into the frame at once, and an anti-snap (three-star or diamond-approved) cylinder resists the most common forced-entry method. On aluminium leaves the reinforcement is built in, keeping the lock geometry stable — more in Schüco front doors.
Glass that resists attack
Laminated glass holds together when struck, which slows or stops a break-in and doubles as acoustic glazing. On ground-floor and accessible openings it is a sensible upgrade.
